Fireflies & Figs, Abruzzo, Italy
Abruzzo, half way down the boot of Italy, on the other side of the peninsula from Rome, is one of the least visited parts of Italy. Famed for its dramatic geography, for years it was isolated by the Majella mountains. In the midst of this wild landscape is Fireflies & Figs, a new glampsite of two yurts (with plans for three more) set on the slopes of a valley, overlooking olive trees, vines and mountain peaks beyond.
