Japan Part 8 - Review of the Kamakura

Kamakura is one of the oldest cities in Japan

One of the oldest cities in Japan, was founded in 1192. Located in Kanagawa Prefecture, on the island of Honshu.

The city is surrounded on three sides by wooded mountains, and to the south goes to the Sagami Bay. Kamakura mild climate. This is the perfect winter and summer resort.

Japan Part 9 - The Great Buddha in Kamakura

Daibutsu (The Great Buddha) - Kamakura

Kinda caught the Great Buddha "Daibutsu" a bit late in the day, but it was awe-inspiring nonetheless. Seriously, go to Kamakura, its something else.

Amazing, amazing vid! I was at Kamakura last year where my mom and I visited the Great Buddha, eating some ice cream from the vendo machines along the way. It was a great experience. I remember standing right infront of the Buddha and felt, for the first time, being connected with the earth.
