Minsk - a city with a fairly long history. It was first mentioned in chronicles in 1067. In 1974, Minsk was awarded the title Hero City in commemoration of its citizens in the fight against fascism in the Second World War. Currently located in the Minsk Executive Committee of the Commonwealth of Independent States, the Government and Parliament of the Republic of Belarus.
Minsk - the capital of Belarus. The city is located at the Minsk Hills on both sides of the Svisloch. Minsk area is 256 km2. The population of 1.8 million people. Minsk is divided into nine metropolitan areas, includes one small town Falcon. Minsk has the status of the state's capital, its constitution, flag and anthem.
