Victoria is the capital of Seychelles. At first it was established as the seat of colonial government in the UK. The city attractions include the Clock Tower, the headquarters of the Court, the Botanical Garden of Victoria, the National History Museum of Victoria, the Natural History Museum of Victoria, and the Market Sir Selwyn Selwyn-Clarke. It also has the nation state, an Institute of Technology, while the port is situated in the east of the city, where tuna fishing and canning are a major local industry.
