Costa Rica, the Republic of Costa Rica (Spanish: Costa Rica, República de Costa Rica, translated as "Rich Coast") - one of the smallest countries in Central America. Located at the narrowest part of the isthmus connecting the two continents. Costa Rica is bordered by two countries: Nicaragua to the north, the Republic of Panama to the south-east. Pacific Ocean washes the shores of the south and west and the Caribbean Sea to the east. Despite its location, Costa Rica is predominantly "white" country.
